Ergonomic evaluations

An Ergonomic Evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to analyze how an individual interacts with their work environment, with the goal of optimizing safety, comfort, and efficiency. These evaluations identify risk factors that may contribute to musculoskeletal disorders or workplace injuries and provide actionable recommendations to improve workstations, tools, and postural habits.

At Vocational Expert Company, our ergonomic evaluations are conducted by trained professionals who assess key factors such as:

  • Workstation design and layout (e.g., desk, chair, monitor height, tool placement)

  • Repetitive motion exposure

  • Body mechanics and posture

  • Lighting, noise, and environmental influences

  • Job demands and task sequencing

Following the evaluation, we provide a detailed report that includes:

  • Risk identification and analysis

  • Tailored recommendations for ergonomic modifications

  • Product or equipment suggestions (when applicable)

  • Employee training or instruction to promote ergonomic best practices

Whether for injury prevention, return-to-work planning, or compliance with occupational safety standards, our ergonomic evaluations help support worker health and productivity across a wide range of industries.

Forensic Vocational Evaluations

Our experts provide a comprehensive evaluation to determine how the unique characteristics of an individual affect their ability to work, factoring in work restrictions, transferable skills, education and work history, geography and related labor market, as well as residual earning capacity. This assessment is utilized in the following:

• Vocational Feasibility

• SIBTF

• Diminished Labor Market Analysis

• Vocational Expert Witness Testimony

sibtf eVALUATIONS

The Subsequent Benefits Trust Fund (SIBTF) is an additional benefit to injured workers who already had a disability or impairment at the time of the injury. For benefits to be paid from SIBTF, the combined effects of the injury and the previous disability or impairment must result in a permanent disability of at least 70%. We work with attorneys to identify injured workers who meet eligibility requirements and then perform expert evaluations and ratings of the previous disability or impairment to adjust the permanent disability rating.

Vocational Feasibility Reports

We can generate an expert report which takes into account employment history, functional limitations, and transferability of skills in order to determine loss of labor market access. Consideration is given regarding the employee's ability to participate in vocational training.
